Podcast #1 - Random Musings

I haven’t posted in a month and when I finally did, my post magically vanished… TWICE! So this is my third attempt - hopefully it works.

To spice things up a bit, and without the direction of having a clear topic/subject I want to address, I’ve made a podcast on a few points of interest. I’ll be interested to hear if you like the format. Below you can find a few notes and links I address:

Wordpress
I used an awesome theme by Roy Tanck on a BUNCH of my blogs called Positive Feeling. Unfortunately, with the WP update including sidebar widgets as a function within wordpress, the theme was pretty much rendered obsolete. After a long time of searching for viable alternatives, I have chosen the ProSense Theme from DoshDosh.com which should be pretty easy to customize. Check it out - there’s a good chance you’ll want to use it.

Directory Sites
Are directory sites obsolete? Apparently not. The owner of Yooley.com - which is a very good looking directory - spoke about using his own directory site for link powering his other projects while also creating a brand new revenue stream. Still… it makes you wonder.

Google Hacking
It’s amazing what you can find on google with some creative keyword searches mixed with various search functions. The blog written by Seocracy has a category dedicated to Google Hacking providing specific examples of search strings you can use to uncover some serious goldmines. Really interesting stuff.

I’m interested in hearing how you like this first podcast… should I do more of these? I guess the first priority is to update regularly before go getting all high and noble. In any case - did you like the podcast?
